I created Waves, Mountains in pastels on Arches Cover paper my Santa Fe studio around 2015, shortly before moving to northern California and the Pacific coast. The biomorphic image could be waves. It could be mountains. It could be both. Both are important to me. I missed the ocean when I lived in New Mexico.
