I painted this gestural abstraction Nude Landscape of mountains, sky, and vegetation in my Santa Fe, New Mexico studio after the day’s hike. I wanted to convey the wildness, serenity, vitality, and joy of the experience. It just poured out of me effortlessly through a pastel stick and paintbrush.
