Landscape Without Words is an abstract inner landscape of the Southwest Mountains I created in my Santa Fe studio in 2015. I was drawn to pick unusual colors and then formed the stormy sky and the rest of the image on the paper. There is both thin fluid and thickly applied watercolor; the texture of both the paint and the paper is revealed. 5 x 6.5 inches. Gouache and watercolor on paper painting.
