BMoCA 5: If you're not having fun, what's the point? Sherri Silverman. Pastels and pencil on paper. 2001. 5" x 5".
BMoCA series: "Two weeks after September 11, 2001, I was Artist in Residence at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. After 911, I could only think of creating reflections of what is really important in this life: beauty, subtle levels of the creative process, love and joy. BMoCA was noisy and active with deliveries, museum visitors asking me questions about my art, and staff hanging a show in other rooms. Working much smaller than usual allowed me to maintain composition and focus on development of these little pastel painting icons."
